Many enemies in the overworld like to fire arrows at you or to spit poison, so it's not a bad idea to get used to blocking. You'll need to switch sub-weapons often throughout the game, and you can do so by either pressing the 'L2' and 'R2' buttons or by heading to a menu and selecting the one you want (safer if you need to use a specific item in a hurry and don't want to cycle through stuff).īesides your weapon and sub-weapon, you can also use a shield by pressing and holding the 'R1' button.
